Follow the entity. Not the press release.
ASIC notices, court matters, ABR, and the Banned & Disqualified register — cross-linked, sourced, and free to search.
Directors and shareholders sit behind a paid ASIC extract ($18 per current Pty Ltd extract) — billed as a separate line item so you can see exactly what each story's trail cost. Newsroom plan free.
Clear line items. No mystery bills.
Most of what a reporter needs is free — ASIC Published Notices, court lists, ABR, and the Banned & Disqualified register. They come with your plan.
Directors and shareholders are the exception: pulling a full ASIC extract incurs a per-extract fee (Pty Ltd only — public companies disclose via ASX). Each extract is a separate, itemised line on your bill, shown before you pull.

You see the price before you pull.
Every extract triggers a pre-pull confirm showing the fee and the company. If it's a public company, we remind you to use ASX disclosures for free.
Extracts appear on your invoice as itemised line items (CR-EXTRACT-⟨ACN⟩) so your desk can reconcile each one to a story.
Three things every investigative desk uses it for.
Free tier: map the surface
Punch in a name or ABN. Instantly see the company's ASIC notices, court matters, trading names, and age — all at no cost. This is the entry point of most stories; you often don't need the paid extract.
Go deeper: pull the extract
Need the directors and shareholders? Click Pull ASIC extract. You see the $15 pre-confirm, the company's public-company status (if Ltd, we'll tell you to use ASX for free), and a button to proceed. We parse the PDF, cross-link the directors to every other entity in our database, and add the nodes to your graph.
Track a director or entity
Add anyone to a watchlist. We notify you when they take an appointment, resign one, appear in an ASIC notice, or are named in a court matter — no extract needed for the alert. Useful for following operators across multiple stories over months.
What we cross-reference.
I used to budget $200 of ASIC extracts for a serial-director story and hope the desk signed off. Here the fee shows on the pre-pull confirm, each extract lands as its own line item on the invoice, and I can justify every charge to the editor. On the free side: the notices feed alone sourced two of my stories last year.
